Hunter boots are a global Scottish brand worn by Royalty and celebrities throughout the world.
Hunter Boot Ltd was founded by Henry Lee Norris at the Castle Silk Mills in Scotland in 1856.
In the beginning, Hunter Boot was called the North British Rubber Company.
After World War II Hunter Boot moved to a larger factory in Heathhall, Dumfries in Scotland to help satisfy the expanding demand for rubber boots.
To this day, there is a road called "Wellington Avenue" near the Hunter factory. The road was named after the Duke of Wellington and originator of the design for the Wellington boot.
In 1977 Hunter Boot was awarded the Royal Warrant from HRH The Duke of Edinburgh and again in 1986 by HM The Queen.
Hunter Boot has manufactured vulcanised rubber boots for over 150 years.
